In a restricted network (mostly in company), obsidian cannot connect to Internet. In this case, Sync feature won’t work, plugins cannot download / update. Proposed solution
Add proxy settings as a built-in feature to allow ==http/socks5 proxy== to update plugins and sync. Current workaround (optional)

- Using OS proxy is NOT a workaround as it mess up all other running applications in the system (Windows).
- Obsidian even doesn’t support http_proxy env variable in Linux.

Hi, I’m working on a PC with restricted internet connection. So I’m not able to connect to my account without using proxy. It will be great if Obsidian supports proxy in the future.
Things I have tried I am running obsidian using the appimage on MX-Linux (Debian stable). I have the http_proxy and https_proxy environment variables set (including the username and password for the proxy). I am an insider and my copy of Obsidian is not auto updating. I am at version .74. I have followed the instructions for auto updating. I have the auto update turned on andI am signed in.
