  • Display Menu on Digital Signage

We use Xibo for our digital signs in-store. Right now, we display a static web page that we have to manually update with any specials, price changes, item changes, etc.
I really like how easy it is to update things in TI and would like to cut down on duplication of work, so I was wondering if there is a way to generate a menu for a display or if there is interest in an extension to do so if there is not?

I’ve run into similar issues (I want printable menus) and so far, the best solution for me has been to create new theme layout that uses the localMenu component, and then customize the component partial to display menu items in a certain way if it’s using the new layout.

I got around a similar issue by setting up a basic webpage layout that auto-refreshes and then used a browser in full-screen mode on a Raspberry Pi hooked to the screen. If you're unsure what hardware to go with or how to set it up long-term, some hardware consulting might save you time and trouble, especially with power cycles and screen management.
