  • Asking for new shoe - baccarat

What is the policy at most strip casinos about asking for a new shoe. I’ve had many shoes that I get 20-30 hands in and just keep guessing wrong and lose a bunch. At that point I’ll ask for a new shoe. It seems some places no problem. Others absolutely not. Also would be curious on free hand restrictions.

I'm curious about this thread, because (PLEASE correct me if I'm wrong) Baccarat doesn't give you an advantage over the course of a shoe based on how it's going in the way that Blackjack does - right?

I’ve had mixed results asking for a new shoe at different casinos—some dealers are cool with it, others stick to house rules. I’ve noticed the vibe at an ETH casino is way more flexible for stuff like that, which is probably because they don’t have the same floor supervisor structure. Way easier to test your own patterns without raising any eyebrows.
