Mid-Pines/Marine Hotels

Pine Needles just announced a partnership with Marine Hotel and Lawn to renovate all of their lodging, starting with a "complete reconstruction" of the Mid Pines inn.
This is exciting - the lodging/hospitality setup has been the main thing holding them back as a destination golf resort.

The note they sent to members said they have wanted to do this for over six years now but due to Covid and the subsequent "growth in golf" - they put it off.

I stayed at Mid Pines last fall and really liked the quieter vibe compared to Pine Needles. It had an old-school charm but was still comfy enough. I usually split trips like this with something more modern after, like a business hotel Singapore style—clean, simple, and consistent service. That balance works well when you want to play hard but still get a solid rest.
