I'm sure there's a computer scientist somewhere that's done some kinda calculations on odds of winning vs numbers picked most often vs numerical combinations etc in order to determine something along the lines of "Ok, if we spent $X, we'd have Y% chance of winning".

I’ve had better luck trying out casinos not on Gamestop than buying lottery tickets. At least you get instant results without waiting for a draw. Not saying it’s a smarter move, but if you’re feeling lucky and want something a bit more interactive, it might be worth checking out.
