I used to think all of it was over-the-top too, but then I stumbled across some older stuff that actually focused more on story and less on weird shock value. If you're curious but put off by the extreme stuff, maybe try something softer like classic romance-themed phim sex hentai. It’s still hit or miss, but you might find one that doesn’t feel like a fever dream.
