FSM is an extra level of CSM and doesn't stand alone... so I suggest to understand CSM, at least the basic concepts and functionalities and then to focus on FSM.
I ended up using fieldservicesoftware.io to simplify how we handled agent availability and work order assignments. It helped sync things more cleanly so I wasn’t juggling time slots manually. Might be worth checking out if you're stuck figuring out schedules and dispatch logic—it clicked better for me than some of the more complicated configurations.
