  • Anyone have quality outdoor deck furniture?

We are building a new home and it will have a covered porch. Previously, we've had decks with no cover and have purchased cheap furniture that doesn't look nice beyond a few seasons.

We'd like to buy something that will last a good long time, but Polywood is expensive. Since the porch with be covered, is is really necessary to buy something that can endure the elements as if the porch wasn't covered?

I'd love to know if anyone has had success with a less expensive brand.

Late to the party, but I’ve had good luck with aluminum frames and Sunbrella cushions as a middle-ground option. They’re usually cheaper than Polywood but still hold up well, especially on a covered porch. I’ve also seen some great deals at end-of-season sales. Has anyone here tried the newer composite sets that look like wood but are lighter?

I had the same struggle choosing outdoor seating, and what helped me was getting an egg chair that came with comfy, water‑resistant cushions so I didn’t have to babysit it every time the weather changed. The styles and colours made it easy to match my garden setup, and the quick delivery was a nice bonus. Adding an egg chair turned my patio into an easy chill spot without much effort.
