  • ignition switched Power tap under the hood / location of fuse box under the hood

    Hey folks,

I feel stupid and chatGPT isn't helping. I can't find the fuse box under the hood. 2014 S5 coupe. I am trying to install aftermarket front parking sensors and need to power the control box. Plan was to tap one of the term15/ignition switched category fuses from the fuse box under the hood but i can't find them.

secondly - if I wanted to run a wire from a switch in the interior (glove box likely) to the above mentioned parking sensor control box, where is the hole in the firewall located in order to get that cable through to the engine bay?

You need to remove the plenum chamber cover and then the windshield washer fluid filler neck to get to the ECM box that contains the fuse panel "B". ECM box cover has three bolts, torque spec 3.5 Nm.

On the B8.5 S5 the under‑hood fuse box is tucked under the cowl panel on the driver side, so you need to pull the rubber seal and lift the plastic cover to spot it. I once double‑checked my layout with a guide that also showed a luggage compartment fuse box location, which helped me make sense of Audi’s labeling. For an ignition‑switched tap, look for the smaller fuses closest to the ECU cover.
