    How to make your stabilizer muscles strong or does it just come in with the training you do ?

      there is a difference when you bench using a free weights and when you use a machine. The machine is on a set track so you just use the pecs to push the weight up and down no problem. I hate machines for this reason because then you use free weights you are not only using your pecs but also a mass of other muscles that are used to stabilize the weights to say keep them from falling on your head. Also things like standing on one leg where you feel your leg muscles tensing as you strive to keep your balance. I have never paid too much attention to stabilizer muscles because they sorta come with free weights. Machines with set tracks are evil if you ask me. Different exercises that require balancing something is a good way to strengthen them like standing on one leg, freeweight squats, freeweight bench, freeweight anything, hand stand push ups are evil in just that I can't do them but they are good, and stuff like that.
