  • Really effective supplements

    I was wondering if there were any really effective suplements that show dramatic increases in relatively short periods of time. Ive heard andro is good, any one?

    (obligatory preface: I am an certified trainer...)

    Dude, Andro is damn near banned, not only that, there are some definite negative side effects to it. I'd stay the hell away from Andro, it's just a step down from actual steroids or testosterone shots. I am surprised you can still find it to buy (I can't, not that I would take that crap).


    If you want to supplement, here's what I'd do first:

    First, make sure your diet is supreme. I am talking clean food, NO JUNK and little fat, be eating lots of nautural proteins, super lean chicken, lots of green vegetables and other vegetables. If you want a supreme body, you need to eat like it.

    Second, get a nice protein powder. Something whey, and make sure it's not loaded with maltodextrin or aspartame or other sugary stuff. Take protein, take 1.5 grams of protein per Kilogram of lean mass each day, probably like 100 grams or so, and take 5 shakes a day with 20 grams.

    Third, get a good viataim, I reccomend TwinLabs DualTabs.

    Fourth, get a GOOD workout program that you'll stick to that is fine tuned to your goals. Don't just do down and fiddle fart around with what your friends told you. Find a trainer.

    Fifth, you need to sleep about 9-10 hours a day for maximum growth. Sleep is soooo essential to building muscle.

    There is no quick and easy way to build muscle. As soon as I post this, alot of guys are gonna come and tell you how their friends did cycles or how steroids are only bad if you abuse them, or whatever else to justify a quick fix and quick results. Don't do it. If you want to do this, do it right. There is *no reason* important enough to not build your body right. I don't give a shit if it's prom, some ski trip, your wedding night, whatever, if you build your body RIGHT you will never regret it.

      hi mrmyz,
      I stick to just a few of the basics and what I consider to be the essential, they are:-

      1) protein as Sean says above, whey is best and I wouldnt worry about Isolate vs. Concentrate.

      2)Creatine (micronised monohydrate)

      3) L-Glutamine (great for recovery)

      4) a good multi vitamin & minerals

      More important than any of above is as sean says, good clean food (this is damn hard and requires great self discipline).

      Personally I dont bother with any of the so called 'pro hormones' or anything else.....
