    And there was a Tony Blauer bias. It seems that the site owner is alittle too much of a fan to retain objectivity to me.

    What good is a site that tells you everything is great? Its meaningless!

    But that was only a very quick check of the site.

    Check it out further Thai Bri because the 8's 9's and 10's are not what one might think initially. Here's what they mean in this site:

    To clear up any and all confusion, here's how that breaks out:

    80 = "0" stars = Poor
    81 = .25 stars = Poor
    82 = .50 stars = Poor
    83 = .75 stars = Poor
    84 = 1 star = Poor
    85 = 1.25 stars = Poor
    86 = 1.5 stars = Fair
    87 = 1.75 stars = Fair
    88 = 2 stars = Fair
    89 = 2.25 stars = Fair
    90 = 2.5 stars = Fair
    91 = 2.75 stars = Good
    92 = 3 stars = Good
    93 = 3.25 stars = Good
    94 = 3.5 stars = Good
    95 = 3.75 stars = Good
    96 = 4 stars = Excellent
    97 = 4.25 stars = Excellent
    98 = 4.5 stars = Excellent
    99 = 4.75 stars = Excellent
    100 = 5 stars = Excellent

    Each point on our 20 point scale is equal to ΒΌ of a star on our new 5 star scale.

    Also, please realize the following:

    80-85 = Poor
    86-90 = Fair
    91-95 = Good
    96-100 = Excellent

    This was taken from the site's 'grading' page. There's more to it than what I quoted above, so check it out. Here's the link:

    If the above link doesn't work, go to the home page and then click on the 'grading' page. Here's the link for the home page:

      Now you've lost me. How is that relevant to the scores out of 10 that they give for various categories in each tape?

        You would add the scores you mention- the ten categories. The sum would fall somewhere between 80-100, since only 8,9 or 10 are used to grade each one of the ten categories. See my post above what 80-100 means (80 being the worst and 100 being the best score).

          What a nonsense way to run things. Someone browsing the forum will see 8's, 9's and 10's and naturally asume that the video they are looking to buy is excellent.

          Each video review should come with a warning - "Attention - Pay No Attention to these Scores! We Are WANKERS!"

          Or they could just score things properly, in accordance with the rather well known binary 10 system!

            You are quite correct sir!

            May I add though that after you understand their grading system, you will notice that they do "trash" many videos and deservedly so. They also praise some, so their reviews run the whole spectrum of "trash" to "Gems". Not bad me thinks.

              The proof of the pudding is in the eating. I looked at the site and perceived that it was full of hyped crap. This nonsense scoring system may have been the cause..... but the onus is on the messenger to be understood.

                Look beyond their crappy grading system and perhaps there is some useful info there for you. If you find nothing of value...well then forget it!

                I found useful information so I want to thank you Thai Bri for mentioning this site.

                  Heres a site, but I havent read too much form them as yet.

                  They do tend to be bias towards Blauer, though they admit it. The scoring system is odd but you can get a rough idea if you may like to purchase the product.

                    Do you mean the binary system as in 10110101?

                    Thank you for the review.
