Don't worry about your sack. I had an instructor would never allowed his staff to wear cups and we used to get our nuts pounded on, hell he even stabed me there once. First off, A good solid hit to the testicles can cause death if not treated.
I know of one college kid that was kicked by a girl he was messing with. He had to have emergency surgury to pull the testicle back out.

When one of my students was sparring his partner hit him hard enough to break the cup in half. It was only held together by the sponge rubber along the edge. He was blind for a few minutes and down. He recovered. Doubt he would have if he had not been wearing his cup.

You can rupture a testicle and that is a wholely different problem.

The testicles produce most of the testosterone in your body. Naturally, if they are damaged then testosterone production will be affected. Not enough testosterone and you will become physically more feminine.

In the Middle East and muslim countries where they had harems they often also had eunuchs. Eunuchs usually exhibited feminine qualities depending on the age when they were castrated.

In Italy during the Renaissance there were cases of choir boys being castrated before puberty to prevent their voices from changing. They would grow to become opera tenors, wealthy, famous and much admired by the ladies for their beautiful voices and refined boyish appearance. They were referred to as "voce castrati" (castrated voice).
