    Ive been lifting for about 3/4 of a year now and have only realised how important the back is......the only exercises i know are chinups an pullups and another i dont know the name of............could someone tell me some new exercises or direct me to a good site......... cheers.

    u really need weights or access to a gym with rowing machines to really build up ur back. the back is prob the most important muscle group to build. most of the back excersises are done with row machines and lat pulldown machiness. hoever with with free wights u can do these excersis for ur back

    upright row
    bent over row
    shrugs
    deadlifts
    one arm bent over row

    if type in the names of these excersises into google u will prob get a good description on how to do them. alot of back excercises are done with machines though.

    if u have a chinup bar that u can move around, u can do this one pull up type thing called the supine pull up. http://www.fatdog.ca/features/strength/2000/supine.php
    this site shows u how to do it on a smith machine with a ball, but u dont need the ball, just lower the chinup bar and put somethingt under ur feet to help u. this pullup is awesome for u back and u dont need weights.
