  • Fighting monsters

    In all the time ive been training for martial arts ive enjoyed the fact that im quite a big lad for my age (18) im 13 stone and dont have alot of body fat. This has always played a big part for me in my sparing as i can useally fight toe to toe and slug it out with no prob, my big problem is i rely on this to much...............
    well my problem is that this new guy thats started is a monster......hes about my height (6ft) but built like a brick shit house with extreme raw power. I think its about time i started relying less on my size and gettin abit of agility and speed.
    Problem is im pretty heavey on my feet..........ive started skipping.......what else can i do ????

    Whilst fighting: stay on the toes.

    For training to use in fighting: Practise all sidesteps etc and try to get faster at them......use the illinios agility test to see just how agile you are (i believe this will also imrpove your agility too).....take into account what agility is from that test and set up courses to improve yours. Im really agile from playin bulldog as a kid and its just stuck.
