I seem to have put on a bit of extra weight and i'm looking to lose it, I'm wondering what some of you suggest. Bruce lee Diet has been recommended to me a lot. (Rice and Water Diet) but I don't know how healthy that is.

A water and rice diet is not good idea. You need to eat a balanced diet of protein, complex carbs, and healthy fats. Things like Chicken breasts, fish, lean red meats, sweet potatoes, brown rice, oatmeal, olive/flax oil, natural peanut butter, etc, etc. Plus, lots of green vegetables.
What are your stats? Height, weight, age, etc. What does your current diet look like? With that info I could give more specific advice.
