Make him take MA and start lifting at 12? That can keep him off the obese scale.
If i have a kid I'd probably start him off with MA asap.

Dude, weightlifting and martial arts are so different. Martial arts is for all ages. The way you make it sound is your gonna give your a kid a 2lb weight. Thats not weight training, thats pussyfooting around. If youre gonna call it weight training, actually use weights. If you can do a set of 15 of a weight and its easy, thats not lifting.

Not to mention, kids are usually kinda chubby because most of them grow. Weights dont make you skinny unless youre doign all weighted crunchs. Also, include a pic in your next post, I wanna see how jacked you really are

Sorry I dont post pictures of myself on the internet... and if I did you could just say its not me so it doesnt prove a point or anything.

I dont need to post pictures to get self validation, and in all honesty do you really care what I look like.

I know what I look like, and what I can lift etc... It doesnt matter if you dont believe me.

And im not just some idiot who tries to be an E-tough guy..

I dont post pictures but I can give you max lifts if you want.

I reccomend internal martial arts they heal and strengthen your body from the inside out and don't destroy your body like external training such as weight lifting.

only my advice. I have no problem if your a sceptic about it. I can't force you to study internal martial arts.

Weight lifting dosen't "Destroy" your body. If your dumb and you do it wrong, thats your problem.

Im sorry dude. But muscle mass and strength when worked right can be AMAZING. Bruce Lee could not beat up a heavy weight MMA fighter in todays world. No fighters dont weightlift or do some kind of GOOD body resistant workout. When I say good I mean handstand push ups and stuff like that, not incline bs push ups. And for guys who wanna bash weights, and say UFC and Pride fighters dont weight train, most do. Some (Fedor) does sledgehammer work and a lot of other muscle building stuff. A thing I bet most wieght bashers dont do. guys who bash weights and farm workouts and REAL training.

muscle mass and strength are not always nessecarily related.
strength can lead to more muscle mass but the two are not nessecarily related. you can still have a whole lot of strength without nessecarily having the mass. imo, it's often times better to have the strength with as little mass as possible.

btw im not sure about this but i was under the impression that most ufc fighters do more in the sense of endurance type lifting. atleast thats what was on the show anyways.

It depends on the fighter and the time for the fighter. Most guys do strength workouts if they dont have a fight coming up, but start upping thier cardio and endurance workouts if they have a fight coming up. Thats why most of those guys in TUF where doing so much endurance stuff.

this is true. back when india was a british colony the british soldiers were amazed when they saw skinny indian guys who could lift as much as some of the much bigger british guys. this was due to their diet, they ate dahl which i forgot what its made of but it kept the indian guys slim yet they were just as strong as guys much bigger than them.

what u eat is what really determines how u look. being big and bulky is all for show, u can be just as strong without being very big. if u eat way more calories than your body needs, u will start to gain weight and bulk up. if u train for strength gains and eat less u will stay slim yet keep increasing strength.
