OMG there is salmon at Trader Joe's for $1.99 for a 14.75 oz can, just like Performance Menu said there would be!! I was so excited I bought all eight in the store.

I hear there's also an Icy Point brand you can get through oceanspray.com.

Oh yeah?! Well I get to train for eight hours tomorrow, so !

Glad it's going better. How long 'til Guro Dan? What's he covering, do you know? Have you been to his seminars before?

This is my thread so I can hijack it with unrelated topics.

        mmmmm...salmon.

        How do you prepare it?

I keep it simple. A little butter, salt, pepper and into the oven.

        Now I want a fish.

I love salmon. Usually just add some lemon juice, salt and pepper, maybe some spices if I'm feeling adventurous. Thyme or basil.

              Serve with kale or spinach.

There's a whole ton of recipes in the free sample issue of the Performance Menu: http://www.performancemenu.com/issues/PmenuIssue1.pdf

Guro Dan is Sat & Sunday, pretty much all day.
He covers alot of material, and it's kinda hard to keep up with everything. The guy used to be a history teacher, I think, some of that might influence the way he teaches things to a seminar group. (he covers EVERYTHING, a little of this, a little of that...the man is brilliant, and very down to earth, although he is MUCH more serious than Adjan Chai...Adjarn is serious, but he can also be pretty jovial and really funny. Adjarn Chai is the guy you'd want as a buddy, very open and kind of a prankster...Guro Dan is like a sage. You think of the stories of the old martial arts masters being very reserved and collected...and that's him.) You definitely, in my opinion, get a lot more out of an Adjarn Chai seminar because he covers and drills things in a much more simple way.

They are both great...the best in the world. Throw in Apideh Fairtex and a few others and you've got the peak...Adjarn and Guro Dan are beyond the elite instuctors...they are legendary.
