Im looking to train more in my ground game, but i dont have anything to do it on. I have a trampoline, lawn space, and concrete. I was thinking about using old blankets, but i dont know if that will help. Any help?

Ive heard of people rolling in grass fields before. Id imagine it wouldnt be bad because its a soft surface, but Id think it would be dangerous to do takedowns because although the grass is soft, the earth underneath it is dense! Probably shouldnt wear white or grapple near any ant hills!

well if ya wanna train cheaply it depends on what art or style or techniques you want to train, for grappling and wrestling anything soft will do, old mattress, (mind those sharp springs jabbing you in the eyeball) some thick blankets (thin ones will do so long as there is a relatively soft surface underneath) so long as you dont do throws. for striking things, i remember reading somwhere on the net on how to make a homemade makiwara, seemed perdy easy. As for me i have a punching bag, i do pull-ups on trees, push-ups and all that junk that you can do by yourself, i spar with friends somtimes contact and somtimes none, i train with everyday things that have to potential to be weapons such as sticks and most anything i find lying around the house that could work, heh once me and my friend got an old boogie board and we practiced throwing knives and things at it, like any sharp object we found lying around, kitchen knives etc.
But yeh i would very much like to see what other people do to for cheap training.
