  • Training the back??

ok so im trying to do some drunken boxing stuff and ive been wondering if anyone knows a way to train the back?? so far ive been just bending back and tyring to build back strenth. i am almost able to pass that ninety degree during the back bend. but is there some other things i shud do so i can condition myself better and pass that ninety degree bend to get closer to the ground??? like a way to make my back more flexible but strong at the same time??

I have a feeling that Drunken Boxing, as demonstrated by Jackie Chan certainly, was made up by Jackie Chan for his film ?

What does your instructor suggest you do ?

my instructor tells me to just bend back more. but it gets too stiff after awhlie and doesnt really train my back. i also know that its made up for his film but its just good to have flexibility like that

Practice bridges, bridge puch ups, going into back bends from standing (directly backwards,as well as from the sides), bridge push ups, crunches backwalk overs and forward walkovers. And always counter stretch your back!
