  • Mike Brewers 2008 Challange-Update

Well, I'm doing a modified version of Mike's challenge. I am doing situps and kicks. I'm at 28k situps and too far behind on the kicks to even mention.

How's everybody else doing with their running? Pushups? Situps?

Mike has been MIA and I am sure he won't mind us posting update while he is away.

I'm not in on any challenge but for the past 5 months I've been doing 150-200 push ups daily, 75 sit ups, and averaging about 150 kicks. I do about 200 punches (varying types) and for the past month and a half I have been averaging about 20 miles a week on my bike. Before that I was doing about 3 miles a day walking/running.

This is on top of things we do in class and about 20 chin ups a day throughout my workday because we have machines that make great chin up bars.

I've also for the last 3 months cut out beer, soda, and for the most part tea, and have been drinking only water and fruit juice. Very little fast foods and almost no sweets.

This all added up to a leaner 15lbs lighter KOTF

      COOL!

I'll never see my "fighting" weight again. I'm right at 200# for the second time in my life.

          Yup...

I'm more worried about high blood pressure and diabetes than obesity myself. I'm (fairly) fit and work hard and sweat my ass off but too damn lazy to dedicate to the regime these participating fitness maniacs are ripping on.

I wonder if Mike B is still on track? His duties might be a distraction from the routine...

I still think it's a great idea to stay in shape and eat good stuff and drink water...

I've upped the intake of fruits and veggies and backed off the beef and pork some... dairy too... My weakness.

Looking forward to some lean venison again in a few months (hunting season) I've got my eye on this nice tender fork horn out on the arcata bottoms! Yummy stuff!

          BBQ makes me drool!

I'm sure I'll lose a few pounds befor fall. Just not adjusting my work out to achive anything like real (fighting) fitness.

If push comes to shove I'll reley on Judo or bullets or some other tool to subdue. I'm done beating the crap out of folks for fun...(or money) I'll never be a professional anything.

Damn studly I can't believe you'd have a hard time bringing in the ladies lookin like that.

Well I started thinking about how I was going to explain to my kid why he can't have Mickey D's but dad could have a spare Tractor trailer tire around his gut so I had to sac up and get into shape. After awhile I felt lost without working out.

Nice beard by the way Grizzly Adams.

                    Pot calling the kettle....

Jeez you friggin sound like Boar.

No I don't ride a motorcycle only a people powered bike. I don't trust the idiots on the road to ride a hog.

                    And I'm 5'10" 175lbs.

And I guess being ugly gets you laid a lot. Except in your case.
