range of motion is a definate plus to the machine. i would say it improves flexibility a bit. i'd say it adds more strength than size. and there's no chance of you dropping a weight on yourself due to fatigue, that way you can work a muscle to the failure point without risking injury

Ive said what ive said about the exercises so I wont say more BUT

This has got to do with Chuck Norris, Is it true that Bruce Lee broke both of Chucks legs during sparring? I remember hearing that.

I'm not a big chuck norris fan, but he's in pretty good shape. As for the total gym, it's great for beginning lifting. I've been using it for 3 years. I like the newer version better, though. I've increasedm my strength, but let me tell you, it's not miracle worker. You shoulld use the total gym for a quick blitz circuit training workout. But as for maximum strength and power, hit the real weights.

I usually use the total gym is 1) I have little time, or 2) during my enurance phase.

It's pretty good for rehab, and for overall strength. But, it's not going to turn you into a bodybuilder.
It's really good for circuit training.

If you, for instance, performed two or more sets of curls in succession you would be doing the pump or flushing system. On the sequence system you would do a set of curls, then perhaps go to a set of calf raises or abdominal work or back work. In other words, do not exercises the same muscle two sets in succession. Do not even use what is called the supersets in which you altername between the biceps and the triceps for several sets. This wil bring about a congestion of the whole arm. Go to some other body part. Then on the another body part. The object being that in the PHA system, the exercises are spread over the entire body.

              - Bruce Lee

"Got him- yes...he's gone...magnificent piece of work that!!"

I would like to try...but alas i'm broke again: Look's like it would improve coordination aswell.

But fighter's right: people are(I am) just afraid of hard work.

i saw that infomercial were chuck norris and christie brinkly are promoting it. its pretty weaksauce . chucks physique looked horrible man.

id rather do some pushups, sittups, leg lifts, squats, burpees, and other weightless stuff, those are free and would probobly work so much better.
