  • All I eat is rice

is this statement true ? "You are what you eat" or something like that...

All I eat is freakn` rice and some Filipino food, and some meat my mom puts on the table. I`m skinny and I was wondering what a Thai Boxer should eat, or just training and not fighting. Is rice nothing but just carbohydrates?

I eat 3 meals per day, or sometimes just 2, does breakfast count ?

All you eat is rice? And your skinny? Damn, yo. What type of rice is that, brown rice? If you eat a lot of white rice, than you must have some genetics, or a high activity level. Meat is good, as long as it's lean meat. 2 meals a day? Try 4. Try to four meals a day, and work your way up to 6.

I eat 5 meals on school days, about 7 on weekends, and about 9 meals during the summer. I really don't know about thai boxing, but, to be fast, strong, and powerful, your carbs should be 60%, protien 30%, and fat 10%.

yAah, whit rice is chalk full of carbs.

JKD can be applied to food!

          1. Absorb what is useful
          2. Reject what is useless
          3. Add what is specifically your own

Come to think of it, points 2 and 3 when applied to the whole process of eating is a bit sick!!

hulk, why did you copy and paste my post. Yah, their small meals. It would be dumb to eat 4 to 5 big meals a day. Each meal is about 300 to 400 calories.

Well, i`m not sure if this would be big, but would 2-3 cups of rice per serving be big ? And I also eat some fruit sometimes inbetween.

You put your body into starvation mode part of the day. Then, late in the day you take in all your calories right before you go to bed--exactly the time when your body doesn't need them. This is the perfect way to retain fat and burn muscle--and feel terrible while you are doing it.

I`m kinda confuse to who you just are talking to, but when I`m at school i`m at the caf always buying a large pasta. SO thats my lunch. Well for breakfast, I just eat cereal. when I get home I jus eat a plate of rice with some meals to go with it, and sometimes a little snack or a small plate of rice when I`m home (IF THERE IS SOMETHING ON THE TABLE). I swear I must learn how to cook my own *tasty* meals

Well, at least ur eating four meals a day. Try eating one more. Cereal, pasta, rice, and more rice is full of carbohydrates. You should try to eat more lean meats. Maybe, about two or three days out of the week, replace the pasta with a protien bar or shake. You can even share the plate with a friend, and eat protien bar or shake to go along with it.

i think eating 5-6 meals a day is fine, even if its 400-500 cal per meal, it will total to about 2000-3000 which is fine if you are training at least 3 hours a day...

The caloric intake depends on how much he weighs. 500 extra calories per day and you'll put on a pound of fat per week... so the 2000-3000 is a pretty big range no?

If he wants to bulk up with muscle shouldn't he intake many many grams of protein (as a percentage of daily caloric intake)?

                              that'll be two cents plz.
