I was wondering whether, if I do a variety of puchips, chinups, and bag work, I am working pretty much all themuscle groups of my upper body.

I've read that some muay thai camps have their runners getting up around the same time for 10KM runs (or 6.1 miles). If you run more than this, then you are likely diverting too much time and energy to endurance. Not only will you keep yourself sleek, but you will see yourself with robust energy during and after class.
