  • Weight workouts, but without the bar

Are there such thing as those weight workouts that doesn't require the bar, because I have four 25 lbs. plates seating at home and was just wanting to know if there are people in these forums who knows such routines.

And also whether I should do it or not because, about the 'stunning growth' issues with weight lifting.

Actually I tried one where I sit down and I hold the weight, and pull it up around my chest level and bring it down, and repeat.

you can work out just holding one plate in each hand or one plate with both hands.

        lunges
        deadlifts
        bent over rows
        front raises
        tricep extensions
        shrugs

Unless you are lifting/training 12 hours a day you don't have to worry about "stunning growth". WHy don't you just get a bar?

I have one, the damn thing itself weights about maybe 15 or 20 lbs itself, and it is longer than me, only problem is I don't have those clips that lock the weights attached to the bar that keeps it from sliding off

Try tying/taping the weights on or something. Humans are supposed to be good at things like that (tool use etc.).
