Ergo, swimming is gay, especially when done in conjuction with other men who shave their bodies...

Swimming is awesome for conditioning, gay or not. In Rocky II or IV, he did sprint swims, remember?
The thing is that you have to build cardio and stamina before you sprint. I've been told that's the natural order; you have to walk before you run.

well since no one esle has a bright ideas I will start. Swimming is probably the best workout you can get. It provides strength resistance as well as cardio so you get the whole package. I would start off with a kickboard and do a warmup. I don't know how big your pool is. 200 yards is pretty good sometimes. Then you could do 500 yards alternating between two swim styles like freestyle and breastroke or whatever floats your boat. Lastly I would finish off with a set of freestyle sprints back and forth 10 times and then sprinting just to the other end of the pool another 10 times. Oh yeah don't forget a cool down. Again I don't know how big the pool is or your fitness level but you get the idea so adapt it to your needs accordingly. Also I would invest in some nice pool equipment that adds more resistance like those paddles that go on your hands. Those are great to use as well as water weights and stuff.
