Hanging vs. Freestanding Bags

I originally had a hanging bag, but gave it to a coworker since I have no place for it now. I would rather use the hanging bag as one can practice a little footwork around its swing. Lately I’ve found a new use for my Wave Master; after an evening’s workout, I slide the padded tube off and work the supporting shaft over with my shins, elbows, and knees.
