If he's a competitive lifter or strongman, however, get the **** away from him!
also who would be stronger, a guy who does only functional strength lifts, or a person who does functional strength lifts as well as isolation exersises?
btw, u mention how isolation exersises are of no use, but i totally disagree.....i cant even count how many times ive been able to save myself from being armbared from the strength i gained from doing curls and isolation lifts for my biceps. functional strength exercises are best overall, but isolation lifts have their place too.

I once took a "body" guy to work on the farm.... For weeks on end he talked about his muscles and how strong he was and insisted it was not just for show... After about 45 minutes of throwing 75-90 lb bails of hay on the wagon he was done... his hands were blistered and his wind was gone. Then I offered him gloves! LOLHe wasn't the only buffed muscle man to fall victim to my work ethic. Sent one up a hill packing (6) steel fence posts, he got so mad when I caught up that he threw them down and hurt himself.
My cousin "Tiny" is a competitive strong man and champion armwrestler. He can curl a few hundred pounds but even his arm will lock out with a good Jujigatame.

I shovel snow in the winter. Cleared an area of about 700 sqft and 12" deep within 2 hours. Its probably not record time, but you put your legs and back into it and don't stop until the job's finished.

ho ho - im not physically imposing, im like 5'3. But i've got pretty wide shoulders and big arms (press ups before bed when i was growi'n) and i armwrestled a few friends, and bet em all - so then i took on most of the year, and i think my slightly better than average strength and the power of surprise helped me beat practically everyone. The rugby players were very surprised.Thats an example of when the small guy wins, even in a strength match. The big person expects an easy ride and it makes them more voulnerable.
(as the dwarves say: When his hands are higer than your head - your teeth are level with his groin) Lol.
