Drop 'is arse in the Ban Bucket.

If I had a nickel for everytime I read that I'd be retired and living with the 'Sexy Babe' from Open Access. Bitty would be my butler and personal security, naturally.

Martial arts training is ALL about learning to work with others. You don't learn this stuff yourself.
You usually end up showing others how to do it.
Occaisionally you find a real POS that needs to get banned for being an idiot.

    Tim,
Teaching kids is great if you keep the right focus (as I'm sure you will). The idea is, contrary to Crouchtig's comments, to teach cooperation, coordination, and teamwork. Team sports can teach some of the above, but a focus on the individual (as martial arts tends to do) is equally important if not moreso. Teaching a child to rely on themselves for success is one of the most important things that an adult can relate to the next generation.

tech your stupid kids a sport if thats what you want you insignificant pestulant and ridiculously pousillanimous dimwit with a ludicrously undersized intellect.
Do you realize that you are talking to the owner of this forum? He ought to ban your ass right here and now.

children cant do martial arts: their to small and weak to use them and you cant teach them useful stuff unless thier parents complain that your making their precious little children violent(if you want then to be pacifist peacepeople why sent them to martial arts in the first place?)
OK, smart guy. How about this: most people don't learn ultra deadly super killer stuff anyways, and martial arts can be a great way to help a child build some strength and coordination, feel good about themselves, and make friends. Did Tim ever suggest teaching "self-defense" to kids? No. I don't recall his saying that he could turn little Johnny into a killing machine while making sure that his grades rise and he makes friends easier. You missed the entire point of this.

Thanks to halfwit posters like yourself. I'm glad that it took a thread about helping children to make you realize just how worthless this all is. Small-minded, insecure wanker.

if you want them to learn cooperation and teamwork then get them to play a team sport. martial arts is more of an individual thing.

martial arts: arts used for fighting

sports: activities used for excersice, recreation COOPERATION, TEAMWORK, competition etc

The age group will be from 5-10.

Children can learn basic motor skills as well as team work, cooperation, etc......

Martial arts is a vehicle to teach these things.

    Children can't play golf either.

Tigers Dad was some idiot huh. Damn kid wasted all that time trying to learn something he couldn't do when he should have been playing with his skateboard or his playdough.

    Look at the big picture.

Kids who learn early may not go win the UFC at the age of 10 but they will be better than average when they get into their 20's.

    Hi Tim,

What age groups are you looking for material for.

I've got materials for children 3 to 6

And then we use the regular program but teach it a bit differently for children above six.
