I discovered some physics geek sheets that was a how to make a force plate set up. After all the stuff required for notes and converting the electric impulse is acquired the Adepta set up is reasonable.

Sorry guys, I thought you would appreciate a heads up a full 12 months before StrikeMate appears in the Press (16th July 2011 MAI ) and on TV, I don't need adverts or promotion . My motivation is contributing to the sport with real science. This breakthrough technology creates the unprecedented prospect of not only improving our understanding of power generation but also the subsequent knock on effect on training methodology. We believe StrikeMate can make an invaluable contribution to the phenomenal popularity of Boxing where no such test equipment currnently exists.

I used to have a piece of equipment you strapped to a heavy bag. It had a pad you hit, it would chime and then you struck it. It would then display on a little led panel your reaction time and punch power in lbs per square inch.

That equipment from Adepta looks pretty cool. Does anyone know other resources for force measuring equipment?

Punching power is the amount of kinetic energy in a person's punches. Knockout power is a similar concept relating to the probability of any strike to the head to cause unconsciousness. Knockout power is related to the force delivered and precision of the strike.
