Flea markets and gun shows sell cheap swords and sub-par midevil weapons where I live. So imagine some group of people or an individual wants to hurt someone preaty bad without drawing the attention gunshots bring. If they had some of these cheap quality weapons (that will break in your hand after one hit) they might use them. I'm sure a gangster or street kid would'nt know that the blade is crap. it's the same motion as a punch but with the fingers pointed up and bent, and the impact is with the butt of the hand (or heel if you will). Hit your left hand with your right hand like that and feel how solid a hit it is.Originally posted by kodankan

I think that was what he was talking about. It would probably do very close to the same damage as a fist. Plus it seems more versatile, you can open your hand faster and grab if need be.Comment

I broke my hand
Hi guys....i have a boxers fracture...im 14 and i had a fite in school.....i threw a backhand punch and hit his jaw ......its been 3 and a half months since then.i had a cast for 4 weeks and then bandage for 3 weeks after that .ive had it out of cast for a long time and it still hurting me....i dont feel confident with it..how long will it take to heal 100%(if it does) and will i be able to punch anyone again??...please reply.....

Open handed strikes can be very deadly, you actually see slapping all the time in MMA. Karate and karate-derivatives are some of the only bare-handed traditional martial arts that have heavy fist-usage. But you all know how hardcore karate practitioners used to, and some still do, harden their knuckles until the calcification makes them quite literally stone hard. I'd imagine you'd be able to crack a guy in the forehead with full force too if you had 2 golf balls for knuckles.Comment

yeah I have seen stuff about those bean bag guns on modern marvels, hit someon in the chest they die, the head they die, the nuts they die, kidneys they die, I guess you could just cripple them for life by shootin them in the knee.Comment
