is 16 too late to start boxing

    Well I am no expert on boxing here, but one tip I know is don't say do hardcore heavybag work for long periods everyday, cuz you may mess up your wrists. At least not as a beginner, anyway.

      If you know how to punch it should not matter how long you hit the bag. I do around three rounds a day on the bag, usually two- four focus mitt rounds and some times I do more (thai pads). As long as you keep your wrists straight and hit with the first and second knuckle your wrists will be fine.

        cool, how about running, how much should i be doing a week? i havent got the tijme to be running everyday as i am at college, but if i had a rough distance of miles i should be running per week that would be helpfull, also im trying to improve my footwork but find it quite hard is there any tips on that? i have been given an exersise where i put one foot against the wall in the boxing stance and then move about 6 inchs off of the wall, buti was wondering tif there is many other usefll exercises like that

                i dont think the system is different i think its just the words we use mean different things we go to a secondry school when we are about 11 and do our exams when we leave at about 16 years old then if we choose to we can go onto further education which would be college and then after college when we are about 18 we can go to universities im not sure how your system works or what means what but thats the best i can explain it

                  anyway if anybody has some good training tips on things like how much i should train a week and how much i should be running a week and stuff like that it would be very usefull as im not a very good judge of what is normal and what is too much or too little

                    Personally, I believe you are Never too Old to start anything new for personal benefits or curiosity, regardless of what it is. Age issues are often barriers in other people's minds, don't let it be one in yours.
