OOOOOOOK, Bri do you have an opinion...Damn

Well about the maintaining the base I was referring to ground fighting and the fact they are not going to teh ground. and to take me down I can assure you would be difficult for any stylist, I can't comment on the average WC stylist.

I do agree that I have seen some WC incorporate BJJ and it is rediculus to me as it is contrary to the style. But my point is that WC schools do teach Chin Na. Look I only speak from my experience and I already answered your question before you asked about the 1-3 inch punch. The reponse was about power not combat application. But I have seen this demonstrated and it was not a push.

Bong Sau is not itself used as a strike, but bong sau extended is pek jeung which is used to strike.

We can only speak from our experiences and can ultamitely we can agree to disagree

tai-gip: I meant simultaneuos blocking/stricking. the one I can think of would be techniocally bong sau (like I said above) and gaan sau

From your limited remarks above, i cannot be bothered arguing on this point

I like that one. I cannot be bothered to argue... ahhhhh, but I will anyway...

sure you can round kick a leg off or knee a head off but in wc you stomp the knee, block the punch with a throat strike and cave in the side of the rib cage with a palm strike all in the one move at the same time and it has hundreds of combinations of simultanious triple strikes..
Another gem. Have you ever dismembered a person in this manner?

I've 'heard' of Tai Chi guys launching someone across the room. Heck, I even seed a video of it. However, it all remains suspect somehow...

Personally, I got no beef with WC as a good friend of mine is fond of it. Then again, he never gave me any simultaneous luvvin' neither.

        Clearly.

I refuse to respond to your posts until you actually step into the realm of reality. Attempting anything complicated lessens your chances of successfully doing what you want to do. A 'triple strike' will fall under this category.

And 'caving in someone's rib cage'? Give me a f*ckin break. You can't do that with a shovel hook that you take all day to load up and you expect to do it with a crappy palm strike while your body is committed to ten other movements? Have you ever hit anybody before, or does your expertise come from reading martial arts stories?

At best, you can hope to chip a floating rib, but even that is unlikely unless you are hitting with a very powerful shot--a weak palm heel won't do it.

If he was really good he would have stamped on the other guys foot with his supporting leg too. Why do a triple technique when a quadruple is soooooooo easy - when you do Wing Chun.

Oh yeah, and stick in a head butt too. The famous Wing Chun simultaneous 3 inch pentagonal thrust.

Why do people believe such shite?

well Ryan i can tell you from actual experiance the rib cage will cave in with out exerting much effort i got jumped once and kicked one of the attackers in the chest with a side kick and it cave in his ribs now i know i can hit harder than i kicked him...

the reason a 3 way strike isnt hard is because it there in the forms and wooden dummy techniques and i guess because i spent four years 12 hours a day on wing chun.... and i didnt think the question was about actual technique but whether or not the style had effective moves .. on based on the attitude most people have that effective means damage causing or pain giving wing chun is certainly up there

and i wasnt actualy suggesting the removal of the head with a kick or elbo arnt we allowed poetice liscence i was suggesting that yes you learn power striking in mauy thai but wing chun has just slightly deadlier applications of force

oh and i keep forgeting everyone else knows it all and can do it all already

What a heap of shit. I like the "I know from experience" bit best. He knows the strike will work because he DIDN'T do it on someone, but did something else, on another part of their body, so the strike would break a rib........ You should change your name. How does "Shit Fer Brains" grab ya?

ipon i was told everything was a strike and left to figure it out myself

oh and at the time training was my job used to teach as well ive been in ma since i was a very little kid

do you need to actualy use every technique you have to know you can use it what is with you dont you think before you type

anyone here taught a neck break but arnt sure it would work because they havnt tested it ..

broken someones arm or leg..no.. must mean you cant or wont be able to.....

grabbed someone by the family jules and squezed till they screamed..no ...must mean you cant

look i can understand you disagreeing with me but dont be insulting and at least think about it first .... unless you know everything ? no ...me neither but lost of people know and can do things we cant dosnt meant its not real because we havnt heard it or seen it or done it...

What kind of gibberish is that?

The moral of the story? Don't let a small helicopter play chi sau with your head.

That's pretty impressive. No job, no school, no time for anything but training, eating, and sleeping. Yep, it's a good bet that you're lying through your teeth.

Or is this more "poetice liscence"?
