True, but lunge punches regarless of design are more or less telegraphed. And I am not condoning the jump, flying, and spinning stuff, I am making fun of them.
yes, it is less telegraphed to the eye but it is delivered straight from shoulder lined up to the edge of your fist...... the elbow is in between and straight lined..... which means...... easy to break......
what kind of breaking???????
example:
the double forearm block in NgoChoKun found in a Sam Chien set pattern.....
Note:
i'll prefer western boxing alphabets compare to Karate Alphabets
why????
cause most Karate hand attacks are easy to break while most Western Boxing hand attacks are hard to break.....
why?????
cause most of the hand attacks of western boxing are (from shoulder up to edge of fists) are not delivered straight.......
but the only thing that i dont like in western boxing is they dont emphasize forearm blocking..... etc......
Yeah, Hsing Yi is much more complex than lunge punches. I don't even have to move from one place in order to strike with my whole body. I can strike from the side by thrusting my hips (and it's much more complex than a boxer's punch using the hips).

Note:
it is like learning only Vowels and deleted all the Consonants of the 26 English Alphabets...... cause only 5 letters learned is a very practical and a very usefull in a conversation to someone who also knows English
Note:
how about me????? i know only 26 English Alphabets including 10 English Numerals.... by that..... i know now how to compose millions of words located in the English Dictionary.... without thinking but i could speak and write instantly.....
and....
i can still use that 26 English Alphabets to speak and write my very owned Filipino Dialect whether it is Illonggo Dialect or Tagalog Dialect.....

CONVINCED??????
Darn, you know 26 English alphabets? I only know 1 which accidently is the same as the dutch alphabet and only slightly different from the french, spanish or german alphabets
You keep coming with this utter BS
Why is it utter BS? I'll tell you, no matter how much characters your alphabet has ( you know 26 characters not alphabets) in the english language, you only need the 26, on top of that, with these 26 characters I could make words in many languages unlike chinese characters or Japanese Katakana/Hiragana or even Korean
They know many more characters then we do but never know them all
And in the end, they can only use their alphabet to communicate in one language, whereas we can use it for many, I didn't needed to learn a new alphabet everytime
It's the same with your KF instead of having simple single characters, you have complex characters ( you consider a combination a technique)
It takes longer to become litterate in chinese than in any of the languages with around 26 characters
Conclusion it takes longer to learn how to fight with complex KF
1. Any power that can be abused will be abused
2. Abuse always expands to fill the limits of resistance to it.
3. If people don't resist the abuses of others, they will have no one to resist the abuses of themselves, and tyranny will prevail.
