If you want to go fight him in a match. Make it a proper sparring match and not a streetfight and tape the match. Whoever wins gets the video, so they can put it up online and people can lauph at the loser. If you don't want to fight him then don't do it. Simple as that.

"there are 4 types of people in this world.....
those who know and know they know, they are wise, follow them.
those who know and know not they know, they are asleep, wake them.
those who know not and know they know not, they are simple, teach them.
those who know not and know not they know not, they are fools, shun them." -unknown

either way, i think sparring is cool, but i would not accept a street fight.

I think this guy just wants to show off....but what I don t understand is why you are pissed off. Let him be, let him kick the air if he wants, that's his problem...And if you really have to get to him, simply go to talk to him, ask him what style he practices, how he trains and stuff like that. If you practice martial arts too it would be cool to share techniques and stuff. That's what I would do. I think that by kicking around and doing fancy movements he only tries to tell people not to **** with him, to leave him alone. Maybe he's the only chinese in the school?? BUt anyway, he forgot one of the gong fu rules, never show your style and never show that you know gong fu unless it s necessary. By the way wu-shu nowadays is a sport, but that doesn t mean that he can't fight. If you have to fight, don't underestimate him and don't plan what to do in advance, you cannot know how a fight is going to be and that would be a grat mistake.
Just leave the guy alone, ignore him. That's the best thing to do and you would show him to be superior.

Well I finally talked to him today afterschool outside. He was pretty cool actually. I found out he did Shaloin kung fu as well. He also had some pretty good drunken boxing skills. We decided to a little sparring and all I can say is we was fast as hell! He would like do some counterattacks and then out of know where he was on my left side and did an uppercut. Which I blocked with a down block because well, I had a down block form already made when he did it. His strength was alrighty. His kicks were fast and snappy. He could get his sidekicks up fast as hell without warning. The thing he lacked was inertia. He didn't use a lot punch in his punches and crap. His little blocks and palming knife hand crap looked a little to snappy to be useful. I dunno for sure though but im going to spar again with him. Whats a good thing to learn to fight against a kung fu kid like him? His reactions were too fast, u cant sucka punch him oranything

Actually a sucker puch has nothing to do with anything you stated. You don't attempt to lower someones guard, the guard is already lowered as in your example. The point of a sucker punch is hitting someone unaware and unprepared then sieze the opportunity. It not just semantics.
Now that I have interjected, please gentleman continue.

The only advice I would have will follow. You will have to look within yourself to see if you did something to provoke this. If I had said or done something to show him disrespect, I would apologize and not fight him.
If he just decided to screw with me and the challenge was unprovoked, then I would definately take the challenge. Don't fight on school grounds and risk getting suspended. Make sure you round up some witnesses, so that if there are legal repercussions, you won't be in a "My word against yours" situation. I would also videotape in case court evidence is needed.
Tee Sok's comments should be given thoughtful consideration.

A sucker punch isn't just about speed it's also about getting them to lower their guard. Here are a few common ones.
Handshake
1. One hand goes out for a hand shake
2. At the last moment he moves his hand and punches you
Or
2. While he's shaking your had with one hand he punches you with the other
Time
1. He asks you what the time is.
2. You look down at the watch your watch and he punches you.
Gift/Offering
1. A piece of gum or something like that is held out in one hand and offered to the victim well within the attacker's reach.
2. When the victim reaches for the gum the attacker quickly closes his hand around the small object and punches the victim
or
2. When the victim reaches for the gum the attacker quickly punches with the other hand.
Barrowing
1. The attacker asks to barrow or use something that would require the victim to rummage through his pockets; e.g. nail clipper, matches, lighter etc.
2. When the victims hand(s) are in their pocket(s) they’re punched because you can’t fight too well with hands in your pockets.
There are many variations on these and if the attacker notices a heightened guard they'll probably weight till just after when your guard will start to lower.
Perhaps you perceived the demonstration of his skills as a threat.most people take it for granted.
Can you tell if a martial artist is mean or strong? Does Royce Gracie look strong to you - compared to savate champion Gerard Gordeau or K-1 runnerup Pat Smith? Outcomes of fights are not allways determined by strength. Not discounting raw strength at all because its a part of the equation but how much strength is perception and how much is the real deal and can you tell how strong someone is by simply looking at them?
The 180lb olympic weightlifting competition was great. Those guys aren't overbuilt, but they are solid. The proof of their strength lies in the 480 lb overhead cleans. Chances are if you saw these guys wearing jeans and a jacket, you would probably discount them as an occasional lifter compared to a taller 220 lb bodybuilder. Again, compare the weight totals between the weightlifter and bodybuilder and you see that the weightlifter is not only stronger but lifting more compared to his body size.
I'm definitely a weakling, but I saw some average sized guy- not over 170 dripping wet in the gym do 20 explosive reps on the squat racks with 365 pounds. He then moved onto the bench press and banged out 20 reps with 205 pounds.
On another squat rack, I saw some heavy dude squat 275lbs for a max of 8 reps. Both guys were strong, but the average sized guy was considerably stronger than the guy who looked bigger and meaner.

Yeah, some people are into the martial arts as a hobbie to build their discipline, get a workout and learn something new.
You don't have to be mean to win a fight. Just effective. Remember UFC 2 - Ken Shamrock vs Pat Smith. Smith and his crew were loud, mean, cursing and proud, while Shamrock just sat there. Smith bragged about how he could take all this pain and was gonna knock Shamrock the F@^+ out. Smith was no joke as he's fought and won some bouts in K-1.
Shamrock won pretty quickly with a takedown followed up by an ankle lock, leaving Smith writhing in pain.
Oleg Taktarov vs. Tank. Tank is a big strong fella with a mean streak, while Oleg is kind of a reclusive guy. I take it you know the rest.
If you get a chance at R&R in Thailand, some of the beaches have exhibition muay thai matches. Sometimes, they accept challengers, mostly American and French sailors and soldiers. Usually the Thai guys are meek looking 130lb ers and are outweighed by as much as 100 lbs and are quite capable of KOs; you've got to see it for yourself...

' Distant water cannot put out a fire close at hand
I'm guessing you haven't seen one of those helicopters firefighters have which have the capability of shooting water and tomahawk torpedoes.
Oh and to the original poster of this thread. I suggest you employ a double leg take down, when he's on the ground mount him and punch his face silly. If he tries to turn to his stomach just put on a sleeperhold (you do know the sleeper hold right?).

"sleeperhold" that's a good one... (seriously) Lets see, Sleeperhold; To cause unconsiousness by gripping... Mata Leao: to kill the lion...Hadake Jime, the rear naked choke or naked strangle.
I prefer a submission, make him say UNCLE! LOLOr break his arm! That'll last longer than a headache from being choked out!
