I'm disappointed thai bri, I thought you were smarter than this.The only action that will beat a well trained reaction is a dishonorable one, a gun or such. But if you train right, it doesn't matter how rose colored it may sound, it works. Until this is understood ,your only useing your body to fight not your mind. Body is very important to train, probably more so than mind but your mind is important to. Many martial artists who win understand this, others are just dumb tanks asking for brain damage. There must be a balance between internal and external.

Tee Sok, I don't doubt you are in good faith, but when I was training WingTsun uder the German lineage originated by Leung Ting and Kernspecht, we always easily prevailed against Austin Goh's students, who actually joined the WT courses. However, I witnessed in first person the decay of Kernspecht's EWTO, of their standard and training methods, so I think it's possible that Goh's students are now some of the best in Wing Chun. Still, I don't bother anymore with trapping, chi-sao, traditional footwork and so on. When it comes to real fighting, there are far better methods out there.

But as you know, there are good and bad students-depending on the level they have reached. I myself have still a lot training to do! I was training in a Kernspecht school too, and I decided to go away for the same reasons that made you leave WT. My instructor is very open-minded, he trains and has trained in other systems -escrima under Matagay, southern Italy's stick and knife fighting- and he always tells us to use whatever technique will make us win a fight, or leave quickly without getting injured. And Austin Goh has experienced real fighting-he worked as a bouncer and as a bodyguard in his youth- and as you can read on his website..."Austin feels that there should be no secret formulas or techniques in any style of martial art. He believes that as times change, so must the arts - what worked 300 years ago might not be practical now, and so the training systems and principles must change to suit our modern life. For anything to survive, it should be taught openly and properly."
Going to his school was quite a change for me, at least they don't waste time in saying "our style his the best and no other style can beat us" and they don't make me spend money for nothing. WT schools in Europe have a marketing course too, and there is too much money/business around.

My art has 1024 alphabets, you are not taught any words unless you know all the alphabets, you are not taught to make sentences unless you know all the 16.700.000² words and lastly you are not allowed to conversate(fight) untill you know all sentences
And you are not allowed to use it on the streets unless you have proven you can use all the sentences/words and alphabets in sparring (full contact)Comment

My deceased grandfather was a grand chinese martial art master in Malaysia , his interest was to dismantled fake kungfu school all across MALAYSIA who was teaching incorrect kungfu technique. He destroyed (DI KUAN) so many Kungfu schoosl that he was regarded the most respected master in Malaysia .Originally posted by holyman
His Mian kungfu style is TAI CHU quan , a very ancient style of SHAOLIN ART,and when one looks at it , it's excessive boring that's y nobody bother to learn including myself.
His most for formidable skills include
1 ) the "iron finger " ( he can poke a hole in a glass bottle )
2 ) Chop that can smashed few inches thick wood in the AIR into two pieces!! ( this speaks the concentration of power & strength he possessed )
3 ) the deadly finger pointing skill (which my father is still reluctant to teach me )
4 ) his shin is like a steel bar, he smashed his shin with a steel with no sign of pain ( much like the toughness of muay thai )
But now , in 2004 , all these skilsl are not seen anymore , my dad still hold the original shaolin martial books , but i'm prolly too busy working and playing my PC GAMESComment

not making up stories dude , all i can say is , nowdays , there is basically nobody able to master the most deadly side of chinese martial arts .ex of that is the deadly finger pointing skills, which enable to point a certain part of body at certain time with diff combo that gives specific duration of dead sentence ( 1 month ull be dead or 3 month ull be dead ). ( jeez my father knows it , he is the only handful of ppl who knows this in Malaysia, and he doesnt want me to know )
there was rumour that Bruce Lee was sentenced to death by this deadly skill with his encounter to an indonesian chinese master .Comment
