If your MA abilities are as fast and efficient as your post editing then I would recommend all those around you to be good listeners

This is the contradiction I understood...but again it is just my interpretation of anothers words. And as recent experiences might suggest, my interpretation of words other than my own may not be 100% accurate. Just as others of mine may not be...

You think of more things after you've written; dang server logs you off if you take too long and you loose everything.

        Boy, I wish they were...lol.

Or the regulars to learn the bouncer...as in both.
Mainly it was just a way for myself to correlate aloud your previous example set forth.

Well Im 6'2 an around 220 lbs of mostly muscle from weight training so fighting against opponents considerably larger than me doesnt seem that much of a problem to me (there arent that many 400 pound guys walking around). But I have seen short stockey guys bash taller opponets just by using the elment of suprise eg king hit an following it up either a clinch or just more punches an elbows etc or sometimes even just charging tackling an stomping taller skinny guys but not once have i seen anyone try go for the opponents family jewels. People look down on shit like that ,if it was on the street mayb you'd get away with it but you do something like that in or around a party or club then you might get into more trouble.

You reminded me of an interesting story in the news.

Shannon Briggs, a current professional boxer (42-4-1) and avid MMA practicioner who has competed in K-1 was at a party with football players and a fight broke out over some woman.

A defensive lineman and another player tried to go after him, one trying to tackle him and the tried to swing at him.

Briggs, the boxer, beat both guys up and caused some serious facial damage to the defensive lineman. Briggs was ordered to pay up in damages.

This is really unfortunate and silly for both involved, but defensive linemen are usually 300+ lbs, can sprint pretty fast and usually bench over 500 lbs.

                      That's crazy.

                      • Yes it is crazy. Interesting article. But one had to be there to see the entire details. Where the big guys drunk? Were they worthy opponents besides being large? Of course anyone with skills should be able to defeat one without.

Bob Sapp was a worthy opponent for most of K-1, with very little training. He KO'd Hoost with a fundamental knowledge of kickboxing whereas Hoost had alot of fights.

The spread was made up by the fact that Sapp was also a linemen and like most linemen, they can use their body weight to hurt guys. Also because Hoost got cocky after hurting Sapp by leg kicks and tried to box him; Hoost doesn't punch like a boxing champion, allthough I'm sure he probably has so-so power.

Still a kickboxing champs punch may not be as powerfull as a lineman's because the lineman is allready an athletic individual with a lot of size and power.

Yeah, but you talk if you were there.
So who really knows how it took place and what were the exchanges.

I don't know the exchanges. I wasn't there. And I believe big fellows can be equally skilled as martial artists.

The point is that a few fellows got into a fight. Briggs pummeled a defensive lineman, who tried to tackle him.

Defensive lineman are monsters who can crush average sized folks trained or not if not on intimidation factor alone.

                                Yes, how true.

And equally true, anyone can get 'pummeled'.
