A martial art is just a training program.

What are your goal? Do you want to learn of to kick a boards ass or a humans.

Du you want to learn how to strike, kick, throw or lock?

    Defend or attack?

Do you want to destroy or bulid your body in the process?

The best is the one who meets your goal. If it doesn't it's the worst.

You might think you or your art are good, but many today just dream.

what's even more interesting is how this guy with 2 months of wingchun and nothing else is supposedly schooling boxers and muay thai fighters

well if we're going to make interesting claims, let's make em real intersesting:

my friends grandma played streetfighter 2 alot and wuz relly good with uhhh m.bison, so she could probably beet up any kung-fu stylist in touch sparring considering how bison beet chun li and is the main boss of the game

I'm sorry but I must refrain from engaging in any type of combat with grandmothers, it is against my code of ethics...besides, M. Bison has mad skills and if she can beat him, then I must bow down to her superiority, for her "Kung-Fu" is much greater than mine!

Yes sorry, single arm chi sau.. and just starting rolling hands.
but the forms have helped me build up movements for my reflexes.

Still seems odd you would be doing single arm chi sau after only 2 months.
Most systems don't teach it until the 3rd Student Grade which usually takes 6-9 months to achieve.

How did your training go in Wing Chun?

I first learned the Siu Lim Tao form. That took me 3 weeks because he divided the entire form into 3 parts. I have class once a week. While i learned the form, my sifu taught me the punch on the first day. The second day, i learned to do pak sau against the cycle punch. On the 3rd day, the day i learned the last part of siu lim tao, i started with a routine based single arm chi sau exercise. then came the 4th week. thats when i practiced the 2 single arm routine chi sau excersise. then the 5th week came and i practiced single arm routine chi sau excersise again, and also started to do freestyle single arm chi sau. when the 6th week came, i was taught to turn stance and my sifu had me to do this thing which i later found was rolling hands. he did it slowly with me just to giv me the feeling. on the 7th week, i continued to practice turning, single arm chi sau, and a little bit on rolling hand. then the 8th week.. the last week... i learned 1/6th of the chum kui form and practiced rolling hand the whole period. that was how my 2 months went. When i look back.. it looks as if i didnt spend a great deal of time on each thing... but i feel that its enough. I practice everything other then free style chi sau and rolling hand.. but i try to create an excersise to imitate it.. i look forward to going to the class because after training at home.. i want to see how my training improved. so really.. i think 2 months isnt too short of a period to start on single arm chi sau. Doing my forms at a VERY slow pace.. and my own excersises has made me improve so much. now im a much smarter fighter, and also much more explosive.

i did mention before that i do unprotected touch sparing with firends, and when we have mitts, we have controlled free style sparing but mostly boxing. When im sparing, i DO NOT follow all of Wing Chun regulations... i do what's necessary at the moment. I havent taken any other martial arts before, but i practiced on my own. I did a lot of kicking as a child; and kicking was something i loved to do. Jumping high in the air and doing a spin kick was probably the most amazing fleet i coudl do when i was 5. as i aged.. i imitated movie techniques.... of course they are choreogrpahed.. but i just practiced the move.. i probably didnt perfect any of them.. but perfect form means nothing.. u just need it to work.... 2 months seem like a short period of time... some of my frineds are quite amazed about the results of mine from just 2 months of time... but really... i've done my own part before by TRYING to learn on my own to fight. I feel it was of success. When i do my sparring now.. i hop around.. hop around kinda like bruce lee.. wiht a flow... when i see openings, i usually strike.. i do a lot of feints... but the 2 month of wing chun has greatly increased my ability to fight... with gloves on.. the techniques dont help much.. but the theories i learn from wing chun does. And when it comes to touch sparring.. we use no gloves.. so thats when my wing chun really comes in play... it helps a lot with striking into opening gaps. I've noticed that many styles leave their centerline open, which gives an advantage to my wing chun style; half the fightings already done for them when they leave their center open.. its just the matter of hitting them or not after.

That brings us to the idea of tactics and what the art is designed for. If the two people fought under TKD rules the TKD guy would win. If you're training for a street fight, fancy kicks aren't the wisest choice. It's not that there is any thing wrong with TKD, it's great for what it's designed for. It's just that it might not be the right tool for the job you want to do.

Yeah, I played a lot of Mortal Kombat when I was 13 and then Mortal Kombat II when I was 15 and I used to practice all of the moves when no one was looking, so I guess that makes my style effective...LOL
