The saddest part is that that is what a lot of people think a double leg really is.

exactly.... they train to defend against that ridiculous pseudo-attack and then they "sell" something called "anti-grappling".

i viewed the clip and alot of others on the site, some of them were good, but the one wich the thread is about, the guy just charged in stupidly for a tackle type attack (if you can call that an attack) but dont let things liek this put yu off wing chun as a whole, it is an effective and quick to learn style, but not quick to master,

they should have shown a clip of a more experienced grappler, well i should rephrase that, they should just replace the clip and put in a wing chun fighter Vs a grappler, that guy wasnt even an amature grappler more like an amature US football player.

              peace,

Wheres Tameo? He reckons Cheung has ALL the answers. Oops, no, what day is it? he totally turned his back on Cheung after totally supporting him. Maybe he's changed back again?

He may alternate, one week Cheung, the other not.

As an aside, the invention of the term "anti grappling" has got to be one of the most stupid things in the martial arts world today. It is trained by people who want that nonsense to work, against unskilled grapplers who also want the anti grappling to work. Guess what? For them, it works......

                  peace,

That clown would get his ass kicked playing football just as badly as doing whatever the hell he was trying to do in that vid.

Thanks jubaji, I agree. What we just witnessed was the low end of both spectrums.

I'm sure that guy wasn't even a grappler. He was just an asskissing student of Cheung who wanted to promote his art above all others. Sad really...

Btw if you have the time, or the patience you should check out the other videos. I especially like the fact that the weapon attacks are fed on only one angle each. Its a real showcase of talent from a chinese instructor who still calls it kung fu, just to pull in the punters.Sad really...

That's for sure -- I remember in many KungFu/Wing Chun classes I attended to, there were always these fake attacks (performed by asskissers), so as to make the "Sifu" "the-ultimate-fighter"......

Apparently, there are still morons who believe in that stuff, even in the age of UFC/NHB...
Actually, there are superstitious people around in the age of genetics and astrophysics, so I guess it's normal, isn't it?

                              cheers
