Knife hands and hammer fists can stun or KO - its the principle of hard weapon/soft target. Check out the video of Jae Lee KTFO of the big pimp. When I used to train in the traditional arts, the collar bone and neck where easy targets - hit with light power caused stars.

if your strike got blocked, it got turned into grab. Each block is a strike, each strike a block.

Both strikes are pretty much unexpected by most, considering people are looking for punches rather than arced strikes.

Yep, each of the movements is either a Strike, a Chin-Na (seize and control) or a throw, proper execution allows each to create the next.

An example is a lead hand knife hand aimed at the neck. The defender leans out of the way and brings up his arms to block. When the strike hits a forearm.

The attacker can seize the blocking arm and:

-follow-up strike with the lead-hand that pulled the forearm down, using a wrist-strike to the throat or chin, a lead hand uppercut to the chin or follow down to the groin. That wrist-strike can become a block if the defender follows through with another punch.

-follow up strike with the rear hand.

-seize,control and lock up the arm. Step outside of the punching range of the defenders rear hand.
