after learning CMA for some time, i feel that it couldn't be taught in public classes. taken taiji as an example, many things are internal, maybe your posture is right, but the internal is totally wrong.so it must be corrected through teacher's carefully checking and touching.it's also a hard work for teacher.this may be a reason for that many taiji students couldn't learn real taiji, because it's too tired for masters in teaching.
Well said, the group classes in the park are about money to support the teachers ability to teach their real students in private. It's generally accepted that the people in the parks will never comprehend the art well enough to be good at it nor will they put in the work and stick with it so they aren't really given proper instruction in the first place.

Hey poser boy, It's my understanding Guru Dan has never been to the PI, does that invalidate his skills? Thought not, STFU punk boy since it's obvious you have nothing and you're just pissed off you were exposed as a fraud.

On the other hand if you don't go to China and study in a park you can't study with a famous teacher and learn shit like this.

YouTube - Ma Yu Liang push hands

Amazing how stupid you have to be to pay money to learn this, then these idiots act like they know Tai Chi because they studied in a park under a famous master, ROFLMMFAO.

The sad thing is you just know some of these clowns are sitting behind a keyboard somewhere telling everyone how they studied Tai Chi in a park with Tai Chi's most legitimate teacher.

Just be sure along with the park fu you avoid Chen village/Chen style and Shaolin Temple, both of which are essentially tourist traps where very little authentic content is to be found.

In fact the quote from Crosley Gracie is "our jiu-jitsu should be like taijiquan, flowing from one technique to the other, Otherwise if we don't relax we can't get to know our bodies and will just rely on strength and power."

Realistically, the health and power gained from breathwork and other body awareness/control practices can be beneficial to just about any style. Along with these attributes paired work is included to build the necessary resistance and feedback that leads to proficient fighting skills.
Good to see you being open minded.
