three of them are difficent .BaGua is baGua,TaiChi ia TaiChi,XingYi is XingYi.they have have difficent styles and practice in difficent ways.and have difficent fighting Skills on them. My TaiChi,baGua and XingYi all are that every style has its tranditional skills use on it with its trick . and all can practice for good looking ,but the fighting skills should be instructed .

Yes, If you want to learn to move people by controlling their Chi (and without ever touching them) Painters tapes are superb, however if you want to learn authentic Baqua with a verifiable lineage, you should look elsewhere.

While I am not a bagua practitioner myself I like the fighting strategies shown. Nothing to do with Chi.

I agree with the poster before: Lineage means nothing. All that matters is the efficacy of the material in action.

I told you before, I've got first hand experience with Painter, I don't need to see a student of his to know what Painter tried to teach me.

If lineage is SO unimportant please explain why Painter tried so hard to create one with his claims of being taught by people who didn't even exist, or why he lied about the Ranger claims, for a teacher unconcerned with lineage he spent quite a bit of time photoshopping himself into pictures and creating BS stories for his website.

Yeah I met some of those people with BS lineage claims who tried to teach esoteric BS, oh yeah it was...DR...American Ranger...PHD...Painter.

It isn't just my take on Painter and his BS...check any freakin' forum you like and everyone reports the same BS.

Check out the forum discussions at Kung Fu magazine for one, why don't you post up the famous pictures of Painter and his teachers? We could all use a laugh at the piss poor photoshop job, I see he took them off the site after everyone pointed out how ridiculous they were.

The simple fact is you may be an excellent teacher/fighter Dale, but I met Painter and the BS he was teaching back then was laughable. You may well have surpassed him because it wouldn't have taken much skill to do so. Perhaps you're so vehement about lineage because you realize yours is questionable to say the least. If lineage isn't important then stop calling the things you teach Baqua. Admit Painter read some books, watched some videos and made shit up and call it John Painters fighting arts, oh wait most people wouldn't pay for that without the lineage claims would they? All his faked titles, pictures and Ranger (lineage) claims were created to sell the art because he couldn't sell his art on it's own merit.

Guess nobody took you up on it the first time. We have 3 students from this forum that came cross country after reading what we posted. And at the time we didn't have a youboob page with a crap load of vids on it.

Maybe nobody is interested.
