  • Not that many Kung Fu people here?

Is it just me, or does it seem that there are not that many Kung Fu people on this forum?

It seems that there are a few regulars that even post anything.

To all Kung Fu practitioners, come out of the woodwork. Share your ideas and techniques, post pics and video of techniques you know. Lets make this post a massive resource for all Kung Fu practitioners.

It might be good to post ground fighting also and escapes from some of the more common grappling situations, but from a Kung Fu perspective.

And when men like Jubaji and Mr. Anderson come in, if they do, just don't let them bother you.

There are many mockers and mean spirited people that float through at times.

Actually... A number of our members have backgrounds in KF.

In fact a few of them are fairly BIG GUNS in the industry. Perhaps you should look in the archives.

My own experience with anything like KF is very limited. A bit of JKD and silat.

Those of us who would like to learn more about CMA prefer the academic approach over your ranting. Perhaps you've noticed?

I think that this forum is mostly TKD.

You are free to think anything you like. I would assert that most of us have training in grappling.... (not TKD)

Well, I train in JKD and Wing Chun - it just seems all that anyone talks about is MMA anymore..... However, if you want to see great Wing Chun, look no further than Yen and Sammo:

Well you certainly don't seem to be one. You seem to be nothing more than some lonely LARPing loser with an overly active imagination.

I have a background in Wah Lum Tam Tui Northern Praying Mantis Kung Fu. Currently training in JKD. I'm not too sure I understand what you mean when you mentioned from a kung fu perspective?

From a kung fu perspective, means using combat fighting, not sport. For example if a man grapples a kung fu fighter, he may find his groin attacked or his eyes throat, fingers joints, his mouth fish hooked or eye lids clawed. or he may have the many mantis techniques that work while standing applied to the grappler who tries to mount him on the ground.

I have good "kung-fu" in cooking. Also driving a car. A kung-fu perspective is about the path, not the destination. The training itself and not the result of training. The preparation but not the meal...

You're stuck in the proverbial box TC, there seems to be no escape for you.

The term Kung Fu" has come to be known as any Chinese martial art. I could say when Choy Li Fut fighter or Hung gar fighter or mantis fighter or Shaolin fighter etc has a man grapple him.

You are stuck in the straining at nats and swallowing camels box.
