No, I know Praying Mantis from a very knowledgeable sifu. From real life people, in a club, you know, kung fu clubs. I have learned from more than one sifu for the praying mantis.

Besides, he couldn't learn any more Wing Chun in the US at that time, because I don't think anybody was teaching it. So he did what he had to do, and that was go his own way. Wing Chun is great, but I don't think it's a complete style. And before you say anything TigerClown.... STFU!
I think, wing chun, from a very good sifu can be a complete style. I was talking to a mantis sifu recently and he had known a man who had three different sifus in wing chun. But only one taught him properly and how to use the techniques in a more effective way.

It often depends on how well rounded and skilled the sifu is.

Like I have been saying before the martial arts is only as good as the man in it.

I wouldn't call Brian Leishman a real teacher or even a real martial artist. A con man perhaps, a LARPer yes. Otherwise I can't say anything nicer about him.

He certainly is a martial artist. You have not seen him in combat. If you did you would not say what you said.

Also every style of martial arts that exist was just MADE UP by the founder. They tested it and it worked for them in combat and others chose to learn from them. So what is the problem?

He knew alot about martial arts, and I am sure he has learned much more since I have seen him. I have not sen him for many many years.

                  2. Speak with a Chinese-english accent, even though they're non-Chinese

                  3. Wear black and white kung-fu uniforms outside practicing

                  4. Talk all mystical about chi, aura and dim mak

                  5. Then turn on the UFC and say, "I could take those guys."
Some gong-fu practitioners are more about the art - the development of health, perfecting balance, speed, flexibility, health practice and self-defense.

Some are bullshido - like you've mentioned.

The remaining few know what they are talking about and the reason why they are sought out is because they are very competent not only in the health development, culture, attributes of the first group, but because they can fight really well.

Well TigerClown is one of those people. He is 1. Know "deadly", centuries-old kung-fu techniques and 5. Then turn on the UFC and say, "I could take those guys."

If you hadn't lost all your support before you definitely lost it now with this gem. Just let it go, CMAs have had enough blows to their rep without you continuously spouting garbage like this.

Those videos were very unimpressive. So, does anyone have a video of Kung Fu stylists fighting realistically and impressively? There has to be one or two, and I'd like to see actual Kung Fu in a real fight. I think it would be interesting.

That's tough to find. Real life applications of Kung Fu are pretty direct, brutal, and ugly. It wouldn't match the aesthetics which people typically associate with Kung Fu so people would question whether it was authentic or not.

I'd be lying if I said I know enough about Kung Fu to "question whether it was authentic or not." Do you have any video that, in your opinion, provides an impressive display of "authentic" Kung Fu? I'm interested to see what it looks like.
