SOrry for taking up so much space, but being an avid purchaser of tapes to compliment my training I think it is important to let people know what they are getting. I hate shelling out the bucks to get a bad set of tapes. THe Tucci series is great for all levels.

I have not gotten an outline for the newest tapes but they are very good as well.

Hey thanks for the break down. Or thank your friend. Most of the stuff in the first two volumes I did at my class so they should suppliment my training well.

Being an avid tape collector, do you (or anyone else) have any of the Steve Grody Filipino/Kali Empty hand tapes? Any opinions on them?

The Steve Grody Tapes are one of my favorite empty hand sets. THey cover hand and foot techniques as well as locks and take downs. Of all his sets the Flow of Filipino Empty hands I think is one of his best. If you look on his website he also has some seminar style tapes he did for a public access show which break down hubud and some other specilized drills. They are fairly economical.

Another excellent empty hand tape is Guro Harley Elmore's Panantukan vol. one from Warrior's Way in Wichita Falls, Tx. Guro Elmore is one of the Late Terry Gibson's instructors and a certified instructor under Guro Inosanto. Th eTape covers the Inosanto/LaCosta system. A great tape. I think he is working others for the future. I have not gotten his Espada y Daga Tape but it is supposed to also be excellent. On a side note. Guro Harley is also certified as an instructor in the Sayoc System.

Another set of empty hands tapes which are hard to find, but are worth the money are the Late Terry Gibson Silat Series. It covers the Inosanto system of Maphilindo System of Silat which has many of the best aspects of Panantukan and Silat combined. Guro Gibson does a great job of putting together the basics and drills. Guro Harley has done Guro Gibson a great honor in carrying on the torch putting together high quality tapes.

Ditto on the Steve Grody and Harley Elmore tapes.

I love the Hubud and Siko Ordibas tapes from Mr. Grody. I'd recommend them if you are familiar with the base drills but get lost when your instructor introduces 80 new variations/switches every class.

Guro Elmore's videos seem to cover stuff that other instructors have sort of glossed over in other tapes. The Espada y Daga video is, just like the Panantukan video, very well done and is a great supplement for study if you practice the Inosanto/Lacoste method. (Or any method really.) Do yourself a favor, though, and buy the DVD versions. It's a hoot to watch the drills backwards in slow motion.
