For FMA I'd consider the Moro Barong a classic:
Short blade, pistol grip handle for rock solid security when going thru the angles, and a free opposite hand for applying safety checks or holding a stick or dagger.
For the second weapon, I'd go with a kris dagger--may as well stay traiditional.

and Kerambits require tons of practice...NO SPIN CUTTING

Those K-bits will cut you bad if you don't know how to operate it safely. But don't take MY word on it!
