What a load of crap Thai Bri - What I distinctly said is that there are certain aspects of our training that focus on basics, learning techniques and so on (yes they are great for fitness, yes they are great for mental aspects as well). Then there are the aspects of our training that focus primarily on defense, etc.....
and your only argument seems to be -
Just get in the Thai and BJJ gym and train. You sound l;ike the guy who can "prove" a bee can't fly. But you won't go outside in case you see one.
I clearly stated where I think each aspect fits - and even conceded some of your points - but until you come up with something other than the above comment I see no point in continuing this discussion .............
