FFS, you've all lost focus, it's not the pedigree of the breed but the training of the dog.

Those of you that are defending your self defense art, go out and prove it to yourself. Go on a friday night and find some pissed up monster dragging his knuckles on the ground at chucking out time. Watch to see if when he attacks an innocent and then go stop him from doing it.

If you can stop them with violence then your physical art works and providence is on your side.

If you can stop them with words than you have transended the need for violence in your self defense art and have providence on your side.

If you get the shit beat out of you and providence is on your side then you get to eat through a straw and ask yourself seriously if your training has been correctly focused.

If your killed then natural selection means your stupidity in wanting to fight has won outright.

Stop arguing and go train something useful (one punch knockouts are a start).

um its 1:37 am right now. goju is quite a powerful style and i thouroughly respect gogen yamaguchi. ever heard about his fight with a tiger in prison? i do kyokushin karate. heard of it?

hmm no i dont sorry. i read it in one of my books. ive also heard of it from several senseis. look him up on the net and ill bet you'll find it.

Yeahlol its cool i realize now i might have been a bit rude.I do praying mantis kung fu.i did zen goshu budo karate for a while can you tell me what it is i think it was made up?

rude? how? as for the yamaguchi story im not sure if it was real or not. but apparently he was put in jail in china (for some reason or another) and was not liked very much being that he was japanese. the guards and whoever was running the place found out that he was studying karate and wanted to test him out. so they starved a tiger (they say it wasnt a very big one but a tiger nonetheless) and put him in a cage with it. anywho the story says that he eventually managed tho choke the tiger out with some sort of head lock.

now whoever happens to read this can correct me if they want because i may not have the most accurate details. anyways this is what ive read.

i dont beleive there is anyone out there that is good enough to just block everything and let you go all out attacking them. hes not about to let me batter him around when hes going easy on me. i dont think i want him to go hard anyways. hed just kick my ass

Yes.But when we grab their arm we dig in the fingers so if they pull away it will rip the skin.
