"Proven"? Perhaps your understanding of 'proof' is somewhat unique. Where is the scientifically verified accounting of this? Could it be that there is none? Could it be that your 'proof' is nothing but the say-so of a 3rd party?

I've always wondered; How do you guys all fit into those little cars at the circus?

The proof can be found in the records department at the University of Tokyo http://www.u-tokyo.ac.jp/eng/index.html. Hatsumi performed his proof before a board of doctors, as any must defend a thesis, in order that there could be no claim of bias or falsehood.

Next time you are going to try to say that someone's full of it, do your research or else you're going to end up looking like a fool again.

You keep trying to present yourself in a reasonable manner, then you propose the most unreasonable things! No one outside of the very youngest, most impressionalbe kids reading this is going to believe your p.t.barnum claims.

As 'proof' you included the webpage of the University of Tokyo! You really think that transparent a ploy is going to pass? I could claim that Harvard University has proven that monkeys can use 'chi' to play classical music out their backsides. Really. There is a study to prove it at: http://www.harvard.edu/

Provide the actual 'proof' if you can. Better yet, provide a link to a respected news outlet outside of Japan that reported on this amazing feat (there are plenty of 'Weekly World News' type rags in Japan that you might try to pass off as legitimate on some of the unsuspecting here).

The fact of the matter is that you are not going to sell the fantastic without iron-clad proof, and even if you could find a university study that wouldn't reach such a level (there are universities in the US that offer degrees in UFO studies fer cryin' out loud!). A proof would be verified by several sources independent of each other, would include results that have been recreated several times by independent researchers, and had been vetted by several experts in a given field (again, independent of each other). You don't seem so dumb, I'm sure you are aware of all this.

Obviously we all understand the point of my giving you the URL. If not, try www.sarcasm.com. I don't know about you.. but i actually feel good knowing that one can get a degree in UFO studies... not everyone who goes into that field believes in UFO's, their purpose is to disproove them. Theologans use the same theory when they create teams to translate the Bible. They purposely include atheists in order that their message wouldn't be tainted by what they want it to say. This is precisely why Hatsumi had to proove his statements before the board of doctors, in place of writing a book.

Question, I'm a little confused... In another post under "Ninjitsu dojos and info" post 24 you stated the following ...

"Come on man...this is just the kind of thing that leads people to dismiss ninjutsu out of hand. Doesn't help your cause."

Why did you choose "your cause." I assume you refer to the cause as to the authenticity of ninjitsu. This was at the very beginning of our debate before we got into it. Seeing as you voted in the poll as one who practices ninjitsu, I am wondering why you chose "your cause" instead of "our cause." Either you are denying your training in ninjitsu or are you training to taint the data. I assume there is a resonable explanation.
