    • uneducated in ninjutsu

from the little research I have done, ninjutsu is an offshoot of samurai weapon and close combat fighting , which adds information gathering, environment awareness and adaptation, heavy aiki, and a strong harmonizing concept of mind body and spirit. even more so than some of the chinese internal arts from which some sources claim it came from.

and if the ninja's purpose was to quickly kill his opponent,
proper timing and technique is a bit more important than justpure speed

from all intents and purpose I respect ninjutsu greatly

Timing and distance are two important key factors of ninjutsu and without them you can never fully learn the art. The main emphasis is the development of taijutsu, or total body movement, and the reason why some people dislike it is because they expect a direct set of techniques and progressions when ninjutsu is more open to improvisation and experimentation than the majority of most other martial arts.

        • Timing and disance is essential for effective Nin Jitsu.

          Time? 300 years ago.
Distance? 8,000 miles away in Japan.

^^ That just shows how little you know of the true form. Ninjutsu is more on avoidance of attacks rather than solid blocks and they don't use the silly karate chops with the bent thumb and the straight-edged hand. I work as a secret shopper and often have to deal with shoplifters who are not particularly fond of being caught, and have found that even a few simple techniques such as musho-dori (basically entwining their elbow and pulling their shoulder and limb back painfully) is very adaptable to a number of situations. I'm not saying it's the best, as everybody has their own preference, but to me I feel it's one of the better ones out there for street self-defense.

^^ Cute, but you could say that about any martial art out nowadays if you want to get technical. And considering the art's been around for something like 900 years (don't quote me on that, but I'm pretty sure it's pretty close to that), they must be doing something right.

What kind of logic is that? Donkeys have been around a lot longer, but they can't carry as much as my 4WD.

If you're going to use that logic, then why do you study martial arts at all if you feel they're all outdated?

So how do you know that ninjutsu was ever updated? It's silly to make assumptions for no reason.

                            • Because all the so called masters claim to be studying the ancient art, though it looks remarkably like bad Jiu Jitsu.

                              • Well said Thai Bri, I agree, Ninjutsu is a fake art. That fat shit Richard Van Donk and that guy who wears a fake beard Stephen Hayes is a moron.

They claim NINJA are deadly fighters and teach how to throw shuriken, darts, knives and swords and make smoke bombs. what is the point of this shit ?

also they say ninja can vanish and turn invisible what shit, they are reading too many comic books.
